Love in Motion
Battling cancer is an immense and often overwhelming journey, marked by physical, emotional, and financial hardships. These are not just testimonies of hope, resilience, support when warriors have fought the good fight but the extraordinary power of community support. They remind us with every donation, or volunteer that steps up is a steppingstone of a story of a person that may not have to choose between paying a medical bill or rent or put off that surgery when time is lifesaving. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, the kindness of people like you has a tangible, transformative effect on many families!

In loving memory of Dustin Putz...
Just a young 28 year old full of life, not
knowing a thing about cancer until August
2,2024. On that day, I had received a phone
call no one should ever have to. My
brother, Dustin Putz was diagnosed with Sarcoma of the soft tissues- CIC-DUX4 all
at the age of 28. Sarcoma is a rare and
aggressive type of cancer that sadly is incurable.
On September 6, 2024 Dustin Putz was admitted into MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Tx. As of that day, my brother was told all of the bad news and how if he
didn't start Chemotherapy right away, he wouldn't be here for Christmas. (2024)
From all of the testing, results and options he decided to do a 5 Day Cycle of Aggressive Chemotherapy. September 7th , 2024, was his first dose of the chemo and
September 11th, 2024, being his last dose.
In-between everything going on with my brother, that's when our family members were blessed and were able to get in touch with Billie Jo Memorial Foundation and my
brother's story was told and heard. They didn't hesitate at all to reach out and step in, helping in any way that they could. Because of Cancer Organizations like Billie Jo Memorial, they were able to help out tremendously in so many different ways, that we knew we could never give back, and Organizations like them are there
when you need them the most without any hesitation at all. Especially since my brother being all the way in Houston, Tx and not having any family live in that area, was even more stressful on some of the family, but my brother was blessed with donations whether it was drinks, snacks,
gift cards etc. the list went on. So therefore, they were a true blessing from God, and honestly, they went above and beyond for our family, during the hardest times ever.
Even though, Dustin Putz's battle against cancer sadly took his life on September 28, 2024, the members of the Billie Jo Memorial Organization continue to stay in touch and even was able to attend his life
of celebration(funeral). It's not often you're able to find amazing Cancer Organizations like this, but they are a true definition of what amazing people and groups we still have till this day. I know deep in my heart they will continue going above and beyond for other people that are in need, no matter what happens, Billie Jo Memorial will
always be there when you need them the most!
So, I pray with me writing My
brother's testimony, helps Billie Jo Memorial Organization continue to grow and let the world know how amazing and thorough this group has been.

I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer, one of the most aggressive and challenging types to fight. Hearing those words turned my world upside down. The treatments, the fear of the unknown, and the toll it took on my body and spirit were overwhelming. There were moments I didn’t know how I would keep going.
That’s when the Billie Jo Memorial Foundation stepped in. They offered more than just support—they gave me hope. Whether it was through resources, encouragement, or simply reminding me that I wasn’t walking this journey alone, their love and generosity made all the difference.
Because of them, I was able to focus on my fight instead of being consumed by all the extra burdens cancer brings. Today, as a survivor of triple negative breast cancer, I can say with all my heart that the Billie Jo Memorial Foundation truly made an impact on my life and my healing journey.
I will forever be grateful for this foundation and the way they continue to honor Billie Jo’s legacy by standing beside women like me, turning some of our darkest days into light and hope.

JJ's Story
When My son was diagnosed with leukemia its flipped our world upside down. Creating so many different burdens. My fiancee and I are a young couple that are trying to provide the best we can for our kids . And when cancer was brought into our son’s life it set us back many ways financially ,it made us feel so alone . However when people and organizations reached out and offered help and support ,it gave us hope. One of the troubles we faced was struggling to pay for our rent due to slow work and back and forth travel out of town for treatment. When we reached out to one of the great people with The Billie Jo memorial foundation for help ,they stepped in and was there for us no questions asked . This foundation and many others that help and support families dealing with cancer are a true blessing from God . We are truly thankful for all of them !
